Walthamstow, E17, has one of the largest concentrations of Victorian terraced housing in East London, much of it built in long straight runs off the high street and around Walthamstow Village. A significant proportion of this stock has been split into flats over the decades, and it's common to find a single Victorian terrace with three separate tenancies, three consumer units and a supply arrangement that hasn't been properly reviewed in years. We spend a good amount of our time in Walthamstow untangling exactly this kind of shared or historic wiring so each flat has a safe, clearly labelled circuit of its own.

The area also has notable pockets of Warner-style purpose-built flats from the early twentieth century around Higham Hill and Wood Street, plus newer developments near Blackhorse Road and the old Ravenswood Industrial Estate, where regeneration has brought blocks of new-build flats alongside surviving light-industrial units.
