Ilford has one of the densest concentrations of pre-1930s housing stock anywhere in this part of London, and it shows in the electrical work we're called out for. Central line stations at Gants Hill, Newbury Park and Redbridge, plus Ilford's own Elizabeth line and mainline station, have driven steady demand for flat conversions above shops and within short walking distance of the platforms: work that usually means isolating shared supplies safely, fitting separate consumer units per unit, and making sure fire and smoke alarm interlinks meet current regs for houses in multiple occupation.
